Sound #5-Casper the Barking Dog

For my fifth and final sound I decided to call it Casper The Barking Dog. While I was passing a field off of N Lincoln Memorial Drive I heard some people yelling and a dog barking. When I moved toward the sound I discovered that it was a couple with their baby and dog trying to fly a kite and they were not very successful. I was able to capture a brief segment of their efforts along with their dog, Casper barking.

Sound #4- Tennis Courts

For my fourth sound I decided to call it Tennis Courts because that is literally what I recorded, was the activity on the tennis courts. Tennis was not all that was being played on the courts. There was a group of small children with a basketball playing a game using the ball and the net. They were talking and screaming and having a good time which was all captured during my recording. You can hear slightly over the children a couple playing tennis in the adjacent court.

Sound #3-Running Dog

For my third sound I decided to call it Running Dog. When I stopped to sit on a bench and observe my surroundings, I decided to record the ambient sounds around me just as sort of a test run, but I ended up getting a sound that I liked and wanted to edit for my blog. While I was sitting there birds were chirping around me which I heard a lot of that day, people were walking by me and I was able to capture a dog trotting past me and a man running which made for some neat sounds. It was such a gorgeous day that lots of people were out walking and running to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Sound #2-Choir Birds

For my second sound I decided to name it Choir Birds due to the mass amount of chirping I heard and recorded. I could identify one of the birds as a crow but could not identify the others. It started when I heard the clicking sound in the middle of a field which ended up being Lake Park Golf Course and discovered a man working on his chip shot. I did not end up recording that sound because there were too many pauses in between shots but as I traveled away from him I was in the middle of the golf course and it was more peaceful and I got a good sound recording of all the birds chirping.

Sound #1-The Meltdown

My first sound I named The Meltdown. It was a gorgeous Sunday Afternoon and was my second attempt at my Drift Walk since I mistakenly was not recording during the first walk when I thought I was, When I was crossing the street I could hear a heavy water flow into a sewer drain. Pretty much all of the snow was melted around the area but there was a hunk of snow still melting right over the sewer drain, so I decided to record the rhythmic sound. While I was recording a group of people were walking by chatting and walking there dog, which I also ended up recording.
